Vehicle Detail

History: Owned by an older man that left the country and parked the car in his back yard with a tarp. The great news is he was in the process of restoring and had a paintjob done and removed the interior. This is why the car survived as well as it did. Excellent opportuinity to to own a vintage 1966 MKIII healy... this car is in need off restoration or can be used for parts. The car is all there clear title. I have the seat frames but removed all of the interior do to age and damage from moisture. This is a ever more rare opportunity to own a great little sports car. Remember, the car is in need of restoration and has heavy surface rust in the typical areas and engine area, A couple of holes in the floors. The car sat for many years and may or may not run. I did hook up a battery to it and turned some switches on. The outside lights came on and the dash lights. But as the previous owner removed some switches during his work period I am not sure if I am missing a switch to get the car to turn over. Selling: I have no insterst in a sports car and my garage is pretty small for such a project. if I had more room then I might do the restoration but don't so won't. I did put new tires on the car so it would hold air and be moveable. It is a great little sports car and as I understand it they only made about 20,000 units. great project and all parts are available on line for restoration, prices for all parts are pretty reasonable as well. So for a restoration it is all there and small enough not to scare you away as some larger american cars would do. I will assist in shipping where i can, I have shipped cars before in the US so feel free to get prices for trucking. Companies are out there and reasonable. if you are in WA state I will deliver once we agree on a price and I get payment. I have a car trailer and within WA state delivery is no problem. FOR OUT OF COUNTRY BIDDERS, Do not bid with the exception of the Canadian brothers and sisters. If i see an out of country bid I will remove bid and block you. You can e-mail and we can try and work something out but foreign scams are rampid and Im not wasting my time. On May-10-10 at 08:40:47 PDT, seller added the following information:I needed to mention that there is a couple of pieces of interior material. I think it is 1 seat cover set. Also appologies to those Healy folks. It was brought to my attention I misspelled Healy..... OOPS. Hope it is right this time. I also looked under the car and the pan is not that bad. Outside of the typical floors haviing rust there is still allot of good car there. In addition the shifter seemed to work fine, as mentioned in the auction the car had been running when parked. So aside from items freezing up with age. Typical of such a small car with small parts. All glass is there as well. I do have the left front turn signal lense. I removed it so it would not blow off during the tow home. The hood eblem is also in the box of parts. Also the tail light looks to be a two part light. The one you see that is missing is half there. but the other half was broken. I pulled the dipstick and the oil was pretty clean and no signs of water. The radiator cap I removed and there was water in the radiator meaning, cooling system seems to be sealed. I have the 4 original hub caps as well. All the seat parts are there with the adjustment brackets and slides. So I hope this helps clear any questions up. Reseve is low so good luck to all in the auction.
