Vehicle Detail
1989 HONDA NT 650 HAWK I am selling this Rare 1989 Honda NT 650 Hawk GT with only 3,800 original miles. I am the original owner. It is nice and clean and in near perfect Condition. It looks almost as good as it did 20 years on the show room floor. Super Trap exhausts show a golden coloring to them and this one is no different. You would never know that this Bike is 20 years old. For all practical purposes, it is just broken in. It is often described as a cult bike. Hawks are a light, sporty V-Twin with torquey power delivery. The Bike's main distinction is in its frame and Swing Arm. It has a Twin Spar Aluminum Single Sided Swing Arm. Its Handling is terrific. It was very advanced for its time. I added a very nice comfortable Corbin Seat. It has a Super trap exhaust. I had Honda put a larger Jet in the carbureter to take advantage of the Super Trap exhaust. The Tires were 20 years old, so I put Brand New Bridgeston Battlax Tires on it 2 years ago. I have ridden it every year since I bought it, averaging about 300 miles per year. I am meticulous with everything on the Bike. I changed the oil and filter twice per year, even though the oil looked brand new each time. Nothing has ever been wrong with the bike and I've never had it in for any type of repair needed. Why am I selling? I have 2 other Motorcycles. I have an 06 with 1,100 miles and a 08 with 800 miles. I am middle aged and just don't ride that much any more and I am going down to one Bike. I am not an aggressive rider and I can guarantee you this Bike has not been ridden hard. You may be able to find another NT 650 out there, but you will be hard pressed to find one that looks like this with an original owner with only 3,800 miles. For the collection or as a Rider, you can't go wrong with this Bike. Bid with Confidence. I HAVE 100% FEEDBACK I have questions about any dings or dents or scratches. I went over the paint work with a tactical flashlight. It all looks great with the exception of the following. I found a couple of small chips at the front part of the tank. Not visible unless you follow the tank down the front. Very close to the bolt that removes the gas tank. In other words they are on the front center vertical part of the tank. I must have done this when I took the tank off years ago. I have added a close up picture and tried to mark where they are. They are very small and I didn't even see them, until I started looking very close up with the tactical flash light. I try to represent things honestly and I just want to make sure I pointed this out. Thank you
