I'm selling this car for my cousin who isn't "up " on ebay. This car is a 1979 Mercedes sedan. the car is a 5cylinder diesel with a glow plug for those cold mornings. The car has been owned by my cousin since 1988,he is the third owner,the car was bought in Charleston,WV. All records seem to be present ,as are owners manual and maintenance history. My cousin hasn't driven this car much in the last 3-4 years as he drives a mini van, the car starts right up however. Overall, this car is in decent shape for its age,the engine is clean,the battery is new,and the tires are in good shape,the exhaust system also is in good order. the exterior of the car is in very good condition, there are some minor rust spots starting to develop around the quarter panels. The interior is in good condition,however, the dashboard has cracks in it due to age and heat.There are also several worn spots in the seats,armrests where the seams have come open,all due from normal wear and tear. The odometer cable quit working approximately 5,000 miles ago,the speedometer does work. The right side of the interior dash lights do not work,my cousin said that he has tried to get them to work but can't. Overall, this car looks decent ,and runs the open highway at 80 miles an hour with no problem. I know of nothing else to report about this car, I've included pictures,and will try my best to answer,or get answers to any questions that anyone might have. I'd consider this car for a modification to the fuel system so that it could use an alternative fuel source. Used vegetable oil,anyone?
