I have a 1970 Landcruiser FJ40 that is in good shape. I bought it from the 2nd owner who brought it back from California in 1984. He rebuilt the motor in it and drove it for 3 years and then parked it in his garage for the next 21 years. I bought it from him in 2008 and had to rebuild the carburator to get it running. The motor runs great and purrs like a kitten, it has the stock 3 speed and transfer case. The winter after I bought it I sanded it down and fixed a few of the common rust spots on it and painted it a satin white. It had the usual rust like the rocker panel, rear sill and rear quarter panels. The frame and tub are in excellent shape with no major rust. I also replaced all of the tie rod ends, exhaust, oil pan gasket and it has a full tune up (plugs, wires, cap, air filter, oil filter). It also has all new brakes, wheel cylinders and rebuilt clutch and brake master cylinders. We also had both front seats reupholstered. It has one of the rear jump seats. I cant think of anything this FJ needs in order to drive it on a regular basis. It has new 31 x 10.50 x 15 BF Goodrich All Terrain tires on the stock rims with the stock hubcaps. This thing drives and handles like new. I wouldn't be scared to drive it on long trips. It comes with the complete top and doors that were never taken off before I purchased it, the doors and rear hatch have some rust that would need repaired and the whole top and doors need painted to match the rest of the truck ( I think I have enough paint left for you to paint everything else). I was mistaken about the doors, they do not have any rust on them, the rear hatch as you can see in the picture has a patch on the bottom of it which is covering the rust up. The sides to the top had some rust at one time but were patched and repainted by the previous owner. The fiberglass top seems to be in good shape with no cracks or breaks.
