Vehicle Detail
76 Bonny 750cc 5speed. I started to build it as a nice rider but now need to sell. With a little work this would be a very nice classic. I purchased it as a basket case that had sat for nearly twenty years and have put in more time and money than I will ever get out of it. When I got it the top end was apart but had the machining done. It now has new pistons and rings along with all the gaskets and seals. There were new valves in the head also. The lower end was tight and clean. I went through both carbs installing new jets and carp kit and installed new air filters(expensive on this model) I opened up the tranny and all gears are in good shape. Installed new gaskets and it shifts through all gears smoothly. Rebuilt oil pump and installed new gasket. Primary cover was cracked so I picked up another one that has a couple of scratches that need worked out and installed it with new gasket. Primary, cam and trans cover could use some polishing to make it stand tall. The seat was redone when I got it but it does have a mount tab tore off the bottom (still functions fine and would be a easy fix if you wanted to). I was gonna install a cafe seat and save it for riding two up. Tank was in good shape but I cleaned it and did a light kreem liner in it. I then had it professionally painted. Has original lucas headlight and reproduction new reproduction taillight lens. I've also installed new throttle cables, tach cable, choke cables, battery, battery strap and buckle, fuel filters, fuel lines, all tank hardware, gas cap, driver and passenger peg rubber, and grips. I'm sure many more parts not coming to mind now. It does need a speedo cable it worked for a minute and then came apart. I have not got to the brakes, wheels, or front end yet. It will need tires (one weather checked the other older than I would use) but the wheels appear to be in decent shape. The brakes will need new soft lines and pads. I did dump some brake fluid in to try them out and the front functions but the master cylinder is leaking. The rear brakes never did pump up so I assume rear master cylinder needs rebuilt. The front end functions fine but I have not tore into it or even checked the oil. I have not riden her yet just put it on blocks and ran through all the gears. It does fire right up and run but I have not tuned it yet. I do not think that the rings have even seated yet cause it still is blowing some smoke. I've probably only ran it for ten minutes or so. I encourage anyone to feel free to contact me for vehicle inspection or any questions you may have. If you are in a reasonable distance like 400 miles of 59701 I can deliver it for my cost.
