1969 Chevrolet Camaro Rallye Green/DX-1 stripe! Sadly, it's time to sell our beloved Camaro. My three-year-old daughter has outgrown a regular car seat, and can no longer ride with us. It's time to buy something with rear shoulder belts, (which means something much newer) and so the Camaro must go. The car is a pre-X code, Norwood built coupe with the numbers-matching 250 and a column-shifted Powerglide. We bought the car from an older (60+) gentlemen who had restored it in the late '90s. The car still looks great, but is starting to show some wear. There are nicks, dings and scratches here and there. The worst part is the scrape on the passenger quarter, which you can see in the pictures. Otherwise, the body looks good and the paint is very shiny. There are some rust bubbles, but no rot. Trunk pan is excellent, and the floors are very solid as well with just rust spot on the driver's side. From 20 feet, this car looks great. The interior is in good shape overall, with no splits or tears, and still shows well. The dash pad shell is warped (like they all do) so the cover has pulled away a bit. Carpet, door panels, seats, headliner, etc are all nice. The engine runs great, doesn't smoke or make any funny noises, and the transmission shifts fine. Power steering works flawlessly. Car stops as well as a four-wheel drum manual system can. Drive this one anywhere! Anyone can drop a V-8 in a Camaro, but how many do you see with the original, numbers-matching six? That being said -- if you own it, do what you please. A: All the lights, wipers, speedo, gas gauge, etc work fine. The horn works intermittently -- may be a loose wire? The car also has a custom-fit in-dash stereo cassette player that works great. Q: Does the car drive straight without any bad vibrations? A: The car drives really well and doesn't vibrate, shake, pull, etc. This is actually my wife's car, and she drives it without trouble. Q: I noticed in one picture the car has a sawblade-type wheel. Are the wheels in the other pictures what's on the car now? A: Yes, the car has genuine, original 14x7 American Racing Torque Thrust wheels on it. The one picture (of the scrape on the quarter) was taken when the car still had the old mags on it.
