You are looking at my son's awesome 1951 Chevrolet Styline Deluxe coupe. This car was bought by my son and he scraped up all the money to build this car himself, now he has decided to sell it so he can have the money back out of it to help us pay his way to college. It has a fresh rebuilt 235 inline 6 cylinder engine and 3 speed trans. There are no leaks or issues. It starts right up and runs down the road excellent. It has been lowered with lowering blocks so you can easily raise it back up if you want. It has a brand new clutch, etc. The chasis has been all rebuilt, gas tank was gone through. Brakes are excellent and have been gone through. This car has had alot of things replaced and gone through and is very solid and reliable. The exhaust manifold has been split like the used to do them back in the day. It has a brand new exhaust from the manifold back. They built this like they were done back when my father in law was a young man and running around. This is still a 6 volt system car. It has a brand new battery. It has original gearing for torque. My father in law has built many rods over the years and helped my son build this car and guided him all the way and helping him also. The engines has been just rebuilt all the way through with new everything except the crank, rods, and push rods. This engine was professionally done and done right so you don't have to worry about what you have. We have about $2000 in parts and machining alone. This engine came out of a mid 50's car so it has the good bearings not the old babbett style. This engine is ready to cruise. We have put about 100 miles on it and it is an awesome engine, nice and tight and runs beautifully at all levels. These engines are bulletproof. It runs cool and steady. The Hot Rod black paint job was done with a gun, not a rattle can and looks awesome. My son is a natural pinstriper and I am proud to say he did all the striping. Everyone is amazed at how it looks.This car was very solid when he bought it and there really wasn't a whole lot of body work that had to be done. The trunk and florboards, frame etc are all very solid. The interior is nice. It has a new carpet. It has bucket seats. The rear seat is original and complete. He put a indian blanket over it to give it a cool look. The headliner frame is there but needs a headliner. He put insulation up there and decided to not redo the headliner to give it a rat rod style look. You can leave it there and still redo the headliner. He also put insulation in the floorboard to eliminate noise. The original radio goes with car but is not installed. the heater is not installed but goes with car. He never planned on driving it in the winter so he didnt bother with it. He has the wiper assembly but it does need a wiper motor. This car was made to be cruiser not a trailer queen and built to be not perfect but far from a rat rod. It was made to be and has been driven in cruise ins and car shows and gets dropped jaw looks whereever it goes. If you want a cruiser this is your car.
