2001 Chevy Express Cargo Van 94K miles Adrian Steel Interior Bin Package Roof Top Ladder Rack Engine (5.7L) needs work! Selling my Chevy Express 3500 Cargo Van - It could make a really nice work van for someone. I bought this from a company who had used it in their fleet and it has been kept pretty nice both interior and exterior. The tires are poor except for one, they will need replacing soon if not for inspection. All the glass in intact, the bin package upfit was done by Adrian Steel and is clean. Standard features (A/C, AM/FM, Cruise, AT, no power windows or seat). You can see in the pictures that it looks clean and won't need much cosmetically if anything to be a nice work van. The history report shows collision damage, but nothing is found - I believe that since this was used as a company truck, anything happening during work hours got reported and claimed. Now for the clincher: The engine runs and starts fine however there is a noticeable knock that to me either means it has a bad valve, rocker arm, push rod, or bearing flipped. Since it runs so smooth, I don't know how much damage there is or what it would take to fix. I believe it's a 5.7L, 8 cyl. gas engine. Transmission is fine, A/C works fine, battery is only a year old. I got this van in this condition and took off the engine cover to get to the engine, but saw how much work it wourl be to get to the valve covers, I stopped there and it has sat for a year waiting for me to fix it. Now I'm out of the need for a work van, so it must go. As listed, the price is what I have in it..I'd love to sell it before I have to take take it to auction or sell it on-line in an auction. This will load onto a trailer under it's own power, but I would not drive it away down the road without fixing it.
