This makes me cry. 1982 LAVERDA 1000cc JOTA. 5256 original miles,, just broken in. This Laverda Jota is an excellent investment opportunity for fans of high performance Italian motorcycles.It is a "reference" bike because of it's pristine original condition. -down to the original stickers and decals still in place.Its tool kit and manual still under the seat. It is indeed used as a reference motorcycle in the recent book,'Laverda Twins and Triples Bible" by Ian Fallon.You will find it on pages 102-103. The serial # o f6106 indicates it is one of the very last 180 degree triples.The 180s were brutish, strong and robust.They are unique- the only triple with a flat or 180 degree crank. Not as smooth as a conventional 120 crank, but very charismatic in sound and feel. This example was last shown at the Cycle World International M/C Show in Atlanta a few years ago.
