Vehicle Detail
The owner bought this bike in 2003, put about 100 miles on it, then garaged it. He has a collection of motorcycles, and the Triumph has a shifting pattern that is different from the others, and it kept confusing him (He's getting old, and gets confused easily). It is taking up precious storage space where he could store another motorcycle that is more shifter friendly. When he bought the bike, the guy he bought it from told him it had been restored. Much of it has been, but the engine wasn't rebuilt. It runs like a clock. I guess the former owner figured if it ain't broke, don't fix it. It only has 22,000 miles on it, so it still has a lot of life left in it. The other parts that weren't restored is the spool wasn't painted, the spokes weren't replaced, and the rubber sleeves on the forks weren't replaced. Everything else is pretty much like new. The tires are new, and still have those little rubber spikes that come on new tires. He says the brake peddle still has the powder coating on it. When he put it in storage in 2003, he removed the battery, but just bought a new one, and installed it. She started up on the second kick, and purred like a kitten. Not bad for having sat for 7 years. Since then, he has started it a number of times, rode it a little, although he doesn't like riding it because of the shifting pattern, and she always starts on the first kick. The bike is ready for a new owner to hop on and ride into the sunset. If you want to come here and ride it home, we will be happy to pick you up at the Victorville train or bus station. If you want to fly, you will probably have to fly into Ontario International Airport, and take a bus or the train to Victorville. Then we'll pick you up. Other than that, it is the buyer's responsibility to pick the bike up. I forgot to say the the bike has a non-op on it. It hasn't been registered for use on the road since 2003. There would be no problem getting it registered for road use, you would just have to pay the registration fees, no back fees since it is in non-op status. If you want to to ride it home, let us know, and we'll make arrangements to get the registration up to date for you. You pay the registration fee.
