Vehicle Detail
PLEASE READ THE FULL DESCRIPTION, I THINK I HAVE ANSWERED ANY QUESTION OR CONCERN THAT YOU MAY HAVE Up for bidding is my 1974 Impala daily driver. I have owned this car for three years and purchased it from the second owner. It does not have the original 400 in it, it has a GM Goodwrench crate 350 with around 35,000 miles on it. It has a 350 transmission that works flawlessly even when cold. The previous owner drove this car to work daily (65 mile round trip) I bought it from him in 11-07 at 118,000 miles and he had recently installed a new radiator, shocks, all u-joints including the rear CV joint. He sold it because of the gas prices at the time, and I bought it because my daily driver was a diesel pickup, and you remember what diesel prices did back in 07. The rear main was leaking badly, so I installed a crate motor that I purchased from a friend that had crashed his pickup. He had 20,000 miles on the engine when I purchased it from him. At the time of installation I rebuilt the carb, installed a new fuel pump and water pump, and all new belts and hoses. I then drove the car almost daily to work until about 4 months ago. It will get 15-16 MPG when driven conservitavely. I really don't want to sell this car, but I currently have way too many vehicles. As you can see from the photos, it has your usual dings and scratches, and if you are familiar with these old Impalas, it has your usual Impala rust. The floor pans and trunk floor are free from rust. The rear window was resealed rather poorly by a previous owner, but I'm glad he did it, because that preserved the trunk floor and back seat area. The windshield is cracked, as is the dash pad. The carpet, headliner, and door panels are in exceptionaly good shape. The drivers seat has a couple of tears like most of them do. It rides well and has very little wind noise. The automatic choke works well and this car will fire right up in the coldest of winter. The AC did work up until the end of last summer, but the clutch failed on the compressor. I have another compressor that I will give to the new owner. I have four 235/75/15 tires with 60% tread on them that I will be putting on the car for the new owner. I would not be afraid to drive this car anywhere. When I was driving this car to work, I was putting almost 300 miles a week on it. It it mechanically sound and ready to be driven. The title is a clean Kansas title. Delivery may be available for a fee, contact me and we might be able to work out something. PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THIS CAR IF YOU DO NOT PLAN ON BUYING IT. I HAVE DESCRIBED THIS CAR FULLY, AND IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE CONTACT ME. IF YOU ARE WANTING A BRAND NEW CAR, THIS CAR IS NOT FOR YOU. IF YOU WANT A SHOW CAR, THIS CAR IS NOT FOR YOU EITHER. IF YOU WANT A NICE DRIVING WELL PRESERVED 36 YEAR OLD CAR, THIS CAR WILL FIT THE BILL. I HAVE SET A VERY REASONABLE RESERVE, AND THERE WILL BE NO GAMES. THE CAR MAKES RESERVE, IT WILL SELL. IT IS AS SIMPLE AS THAT. I WILL REQUIRE A $500 DEPOSIT 48 HOURS AFTER AUCTION END VIA PAYPAL. I WOULD PREFER THE BALANCE IN CASH AT THE TIME OF PICKUP, BUT I WILL ACCEPT PAYPAL FOR THE ENTIRE PAYMENT. I WILL ALSO STORE THE VEHICLE FOR 30 DAYS INDOORS FOR THE NEW OWNER. IF YOU LIVE CLOSE ENOUGH, I ENCOURAGE YOU TO COME CHECK THIS CAR OUT IN PERSON IF YOU HAVE ANY INTEREST. I DON'T THINK YOU WILL BE DISAPOINTED. THANK YOU FOR READING ALL OF THIS, AND GOOD LUCK.
