Vehicle Detail

1973 PORSCHE 911T : 1973 Porsche 911T with the duck tail bonnet to give it the RS look. It has a 2.7 litre motor with upgraded suspension and breaks to give it an even sportier ride. The car originated in California and made it's way to Canada. I have bills and documentation on all that was done to the car over the years courtusy of previous owners. The following is what I know about the condition of the car: Mechanically: The car runs extremely well and is very reliable. The car does leak a little bit of oil from the engine, but what old Porsche doesn't. In the 4 years I've owned the car the only issue I had was with the coil. The coil has been replaced. Other than that the car has never failed me. From what I understand, the normal issues with the 2.7 litre motor has been taken care of (studs on the heads.....). The transmission was redone approximately 11000 miles ago. \the transmission shifts extremely smoothly with no play. It shifts as well as any new car you'd climb into Exterior: The paint on the car looks awesome and shine up nicely. The car has been lowered by two inches to give a even sportier look. Interior: The dashboard is in pristine shape. The clock on the dash is not operational. All other gauges are optional. The speedometer makes a ticking noise but does work. The seats are in OK shape, but are worn. The sun visors are missing. The headliner is in good shape but there is a spot by the passengers visor where it looks like a news paper was placed and the ink bleed into the headliner. It is about a 6 inch by 8 inch area. The carpets are in perfect shape and look new. The steering wheel is an after market Mono. It looks good and fits in with the car. Glass: All of the glass is in perfect shape. I have a spare windshield that is also in perfect shape that is included. The drivers side window does not roll down as smoothly as it should and requires a gentle nudge on the top part of the window after the first 3 inches is rolled down. It rolls back up just fine. I always wanted a old Porsche 911 and this car did not disappoint. It looks great, performs well and is extremely reliable. When you drive the car it feels as solid as a new car. I've owned Triumph TR6's, Spitfires and MG's. Nothing compared to the Porsche. Why am I selling the Porsche. Simple, I have three young boys and a boat seems like a more family sensible toy to own. Thus the Porsche must go.On Apr-24-10 at 09:43:00 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE: I've added a picture of where the news print on the headliner. I've added a picture of the side of the drivers side side door where there are some paint chips and I've added a lot more pictures of the car. Notice the relection in the pictures. It shows the shine and quality of the paint job.On Apr-26-10 at 17:23:35 PDT, seller added the following information: I've had a few questions regarding rust so I thought I should note, there is no rust on this car.On Apr-26-10 at 18:03:54 PDT, seller added the following information: Major Work Done To the Car: I have service records and bills for every dollar spent on this car since 1988. In 2002/03 over 12,000 was spent on this car. about 3,000 was spent rebuilding the transmission and 9,000 was spent on body work and a new paint job. I bought the car in 2004 and have maybe put 500 miles a year on the car. It has mostly been tarped sitting in my garage.
