I imported this right-hand drive 1979 Mini from England three years ago, picked it up at the port in Tacoma, WA, drove it home to Tri-cities, WA (4 hours) on freeway with no problems. It had been upgraded to early to mid-1990's engine and other components (seller said 1993) in England prior to shipping, with 1275 cc engine, fuel-injection, front disc brakes, etc. Very sharp-looking, clean, no-smoking (by driver or by car), white body with black and white checkerboard top (like George Harrison used to drive). Replaced speedometer cable (speedometer not working when it arrived, although English seller said it had worked fine when he shipped it), but no other mechanical requirements while I have owned it. I wired it so fog lights stay on all the time. Have not driven it much, stored in garage year-round. No radio. Very fun to drive, handles very well, quick acceleration. Minimal rust (a little on chrome above windshield [see photo]. This is an excellent Mini.
