1962 Lincoln Continental Convertible. I'm not going to waste your time with the history of this car because if you are looking at this car you already know it. Here is your chance to get a really good project at a fair price. I bought the car a few years ago with the intentions to do a full restoration but I have lost interest and my two small children consume my spare time. This is a complete car ready for your full restoration project. 70,598 miles show on the odometer. Car starts with no problem, but currently cannot be run because the gas tank is removed as it has been reconditioned and not yet reinstalled. It has the original 430 motor with 2 barrel carburetor. The convertible top works but not well, the lid locks are not aligned correctly, the hydraulic fluid had turned to gunk and has now been emptied and the lines cleaned but not refilled. All of the electric windows, electric door locks, electric seat, clock, gauges, etc. work well. As you can tell from the pictures the fabric on the top is in good shape, no tears in the fabric, but it is dirty. It may be possible to be cleaned, but I do not think it will ever look new again. In its past, someone painted the car inside and out a burgundy color. The original color scheme was gold with a green interior. Let me repeat so there is no misrepresentation, this car needs a complete restoration. I have a clean title. Car cannot be driven away and is located outside of Washington DC.
