1985 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa OK, let's start this off on the right track, this is a real 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera and not a mere garden variety of pre 80's, 70's and 60's 911's or 912's converted to a bullet proof 3.2 engine with wrong running gears. Only reason I am selling this car and a few of my toys because of a few new purchases. This Carrera has black exterior with a tan and black interior. This car has been mechanically maintained by well known Porsche specialist and had some minor upgrades to make the car much more enjoyable. The car has brand new racing clutch, valve job with guides, retainers and springs, Smart Racing fully adjustable front and rear racing sway bar, upgraded torsion bars, revalved Bilsteins shocks, corner balanced, rebuild calipers with racing pads, new dash cover, Sparco racing steering wheel with alcantara inserts and more. This car does not burn oil and very dry engine. I have had my share of Carreras before and this one does not disappoint, probably one of the better sorted out dual use of them all. The car drives like a strong Carrera should be, the 915 transmission shifts as nice as any 915 can, brakes are very good for pre-abs cars. Air-conditioner is currently in the car however it is not connected but non of the pre-964 Porsches 911's had great AC anyhow and they were really marginal at best. This car does not have any accident reported or any indication of such, no salvage or flood damage, this is not a wreck reglued rechopped and dedone back and sold as a mint car, it does have a few ding that can be taken out with the ding doctor. This Carrera has was setup as a DE car with bucket racing seats and 5 point harnesses. I changed them because at the time I purchased it I didnt't want to be inconvenienced by bucket racing seats and harnesses so I replaced them back with standard seat belts and a very clean set of Porsche black seats. This is a very solid and great running 911 Carrera, I would not hesitate taking this car across the country and back. It really needs a new owner who enjoys the simple engineering of these reliable air-cooled 6 can bring. I dare you to test all other Carreras and come test this one last and you will see how well sorted and tight handler this one is. Thank you for your interest and happy bidding. The bucket racing seats and 5 point harnesses is also available if new buyer wants to purchase them separately. Wood shift knob has been replaced by Momo leather shifter. I can assist the buyer with finding a shipping company. We assume no responsibility for damages incurred after leaving our premises. If the vehicle is going to be shipped, full payment must be received and cleared before the vehicle is delivered to the shipping company. I can assist with European Shipping.
