Vehicle Detail

1965 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova Wagon powered by L-79 327 engine This awesome 4-door station wagon hot-rod is set up with a legendary Chevy L-79 small block estimated at 350 plus hp. I was told by the cars previous owner that the engine was pulled from a ’66 Corvette. Great Huggar Orange color. Car sits low with a 2” drop, perfect stance for this vehicle. The car was built by a professional street rod builder and has a lot of small finishing touch details. Can use as a daily driver but it has won many car show awards. Before coming to North Carolina, the car spent its life in the dry desert of west Texas. Check out how clean the car is from the underside photos, no frame damage and the floor pans and rockers have no rust. Overall the car is in excellent shape, always starts and runs great, I would drive it anywhere. Has a receiver type hitch that will pull a small trailer. Car is a crowd pleaser and turns heads, always well cared for, very clean, garage kept and adult driven. All lights, gauges, wipers, vent windows, tail gate, gate window and heat work fine, with the exception of the speedometer that is off a few mph. Included is a reproduction owner’s manual and all the manuals for the sound system. Engine Power is from a rebuilt L-79 327 small block with standard bore. It has a steel crank that is .10/.10 and has Camel Hump heads with screw in studs. It has a 270 H Comp hydraulic cam. It has a Holley 600 v.s. carb and an Edelbrock Performer manifold. It is equipped with power steering and has a 4-core radiator and an MSD Ready to Run distributor. Engine was rebuilt and has 14,000 miles. At that time the water pump, starter, alternator and fuel pump were all rebuilt. The exhaust exits through a set of Flow Tech headers and has a 2 ¼” system with Flowmaster type mufflers, not too loud but sounds great. 14” K&N air filter. Transmission is a Turbo 350 three speed automatic. Non-posi 10-bolt rear end with 2.56 gears. New reproduction Corvette valve covers. New Optima Red battery. Engine rebuild has approx 14,000 miles. Brakes and Suspension Brakes are all new with a complete CPP power disc brake kit. Power disc brakes on both the front and the rear and has new cross-drilled and slotted rotors with red calipers. Also new power brake booster with a 4-wheel disc brake master cylinder and OE style proportioning valve. Up front there are new coil springs, new 3-way adjustable shocks, new 1” sway bar. And new ball joints. Lowering accomplished with new 2” drop spindles. The rear has new bushings and new 3-way adjustable shocks. It rides on new American Torq-Thrust II’s 16 x 7 on the front and 17 x 7 on the rear. Tires are also new Federal’s 195 50 16 on the front and 225 45 17’s on the rear. Car has power steering. Sound System The sound system is sweet! It starts off with an iPod compatible Alpine CDA-9847 receiver with CD. Sound is boosted a tad by both Rockford Fosgate Punch and Alpine power amps. Sound is delivered through six speakers, 2 Infinity 4” 2-way speakers in the kick plates, 2 Alpine 6 x 9 3-way speakers in the rear and two 10” Rockford Fosgate Punch sub woofers. Body As you can see from the photos the paint still has a nice shine. Chrome looks great including the top luggage rack. It could use a new tail gate seal and there are a few minor bubbles on the drivers side door towards the bottom, the back tail gate has a previous repair that shows a few ripples but you don’t notice any from a distance. There are also a couple very minor paint chips. Has a new windshield and windshield seal. Interior Very nicely done complete custom interior including headlineer with really comfortable bucket seats up front. Seat belts both front and rear. Wooden Grant steering wheel is a nice touch. Very minor normal wear in the drivers seat only. Please look at all photos carefully. This car is very reliable and will provide many, many more miles of cruising action. Reserve is set to make this a whole lot of car for the money. Terms of sale-$1000 deposit via PayPal within 48 hours of auction close.
