Made by “Cover It” the frame is in excellent condition but the cover has some thin spots, replacement covers are still available from the manufacturer. (see pictures) I bought this Jeep one year old in 1994, the original owner was a young lady that thought “it was cute” until she drove it everyday on the Interstate to work. With mild off roading, hunting and several “Jeep Jamborees” I discovered the drive train would need to be upgraded if I did not want to continue changing yokes and U-joints. After much deliberation and the thought that I have a 350 horse 350 in my basement, I went all out looking to build it “bullet proof”. I spared no expense getting the best of the best parts and installing professionally as you will see from the parts list. I never did put the small block in as the original 4.0 6cyl was running great and plenty of power for my needs. After all this work, I have taken it off road a few times and everything works great, however, having purchased a new boat there just is not enough time for both. I had a complete paint job (2002) to bring it back to the perfect factory original Jewel Blue. Since the beautiful paint job ($3,300.00) I have not wanted to scratch it up so I haven’t taken it off road since and drive it seldom, have not even taken out in the winter to avoid salt (have two other 4X4’s). I have the original receipts for almost everything listed. I have over $40,000.00 invested without labor included. I would not be selling this great and fun toy but with 4 vehicles and two boats some toys have to go. This is an awesome and VERY off-road capable Jeep needing a good home. Dave - Cell = 219-776-7272 Full disclosure of any and all known issues: I have a recall notice for the emergency brake pedal, have not taken it in for that, seems to be OK. Something is wrong with the turnbuckle and cables for tensioning emergency brakes, for me this is a non-issue, I never use them. Two small spots on right rear fender, (looks like little bubbles) looks like potential start of rust – see pictures. On cold start and idle, noticeable piston skirt slapping noise, this is not uncommon on the 4.0 L. I have used all synthetic oils and grease on this vehicle since I bought it, regular oil changes (3,000 miles or less) does not burn or consume oil and runs strong, no rod knock. Cloth seats could use a good shampooing but no rips or tears, small cigarette burn hole drivers seat. Some light and sporadic undercarriage surface rust but no rot thru or even close. Windshield washer fluid reservoir leaks.
