Here is your chance to own a piece of Italian automotive history with classic Pininfarina styling; these Alfa Romeo 164's are rare and hard to find, especially in condition like this (autotrader shows only 13 of any year for sale). After spending just an hour in this Alfa Romeo, you realize the essence Italians infuse into their cars (even bystanders gaze, knowing it is a different vehicle). I have near-complete records on this Alfa, with most of the maintenance receipts from the previous TWO-owners (see picture), as well as the original owner's manual and 2 sets of keys. This Alfa has a clean Carfax and Autocheck; the LOW MILES are accurate with a working odometer. I have done an inspection and find it to be in good condition. I have a 100% feedback, due mostly to accurately describing what I am selling and encouraging local inspections and as many questions as you can send me. The Alfa starts right up, sounds great, shifts smooth, and does not smoke or make any unusual noises. All the electrical items work, there are no idiot lights, and the a/c blows cold.The first owner serviced this Alfa exclusively at an Alfa specialist in NY and I have at least 20 records from him. The second owner was obsessive about taking this Alfa in for routine maintenance; oil changes at least every 3,000 miles (sometimes sooner if the calendar time was first). Some recent notable maintenance done was struts at 51,560, full tune-up with ignition wires, cap and rotor at 59,654, and full pads and rotors at 60,972. There are no records that this Alfa has had any major problems, just routine maintenance and the usual quirks. The last time this Alfa was emission tested it passed (Oct. 2007). As you will see from the pictures, the interior is in great condition. There are no dash cracks, all the door panels are intact, and the leather is in great shape with no rips or tears, only normal wear and tear. The overall condition of this Alfa inside and out is great for the year. One picture will show some rust above the rear passenger wheel, but please note another picture showing the frame rails to be rust free; overall a solid car. The car was parked in my garage for about a week and I noticed no oil on the floor.
