This sedan was totaled out by the insurance after the engine locked up while driving down the road. We got it into our shop put it up on the lift and after removing the engine oil...pan saw that it had a broken connecting rod. Apparently the owner drove through a water puddle on the road and splashed water up into the engine air intake. The piston couldn't compress the water so it broke the connecting rod. We found a lower mileage Lexus serviced replacement engine and a local mechanic replaced the engine. After a through test drive we are pleased to report that this IS runs strong & drives smoothly, is mechanically sound, and has no dash warning lights on.
