NO RESERVE 1978 Pontiac Trans Am. This is a nice and solid driver quality restored car that has been sitting in a garage for the last 5 years. We acquired it from an estate, the previous owner was just a few details away from completing the rebuild on the car when he passed away. The car is nearly complete, just needs final tuning to be perfect. It runs and drives, has a super solid body, nice complete interior and is a great platform to take to the next level. This is an original red over red, 400 Pontiac engine Trans Am that was restored approximately 5-6 years ago. Paint is in nice shape, shines well but does have a few nicks here and there from storage. Floors and trunk are super solid as are the rest of the body panels. The original 400 engine was replaced with an older rebuilt '74 Pontiac 455 engine and we have to paperwork to show the details along with the aftermarket cam card. A fresh rebuilt Holley carb tops off the engine. A 160MPH speedometer is in place of the original 100MPH unit. All the lights and interior accessories work as they should, with the exception of the horn. A new hood latch is on order and was not installed in time to take the pictures, but will be installed prior to sale. There is a trunk load of extra parts that come with the car along with two additional dash pads (One used red one and one new OER black pad still in the original box). These cars are moving up in value rapidly and this is a great opportunity to get into one at an entry level price because it needs some finishing touches.
