Paste link into a browser window: I have owned many trucks in my 60 years built by every American automaker but I can say with absolute sincerity that I have never owned, nor seen, a more beautiful stock truck than this 1986 Ford F-150 Lariat in full dress. What you are viewing, at least externally, is how this truck rolled off the assembly line 33 years ago with only minor blemishes to mark the passing of the time. The reason for its preservation is due to the original owner in the farm country of Iowa treating it like his cowboy Cadillac and caring for it like it was kinfolk. It was always parked inside and rarely driven and NEVER used like a truck. Just one look at the bed makes that abundantly clear. It was babied all of its life and passed along with care to others who recognized its classic beauty and preserved and restored it. Two thousand miles back the last owner decided to upgrade the performance so he pulled the stock 302 and built it into the 347 stroker that adorns its engine bay today. He completely rebuilt the motor with performance rotating assembly, Arp studs, aluminum heads, roller rockers, Edelbrock intake, four barrel carburetor, a healthy cam, ceramic coated headers, dual exhaust to the rear, and MSD ignition with a Mallory Unilite distributor. To get all of that performance to the ground he built the transmission to handle the additional horsepower and installed a posi-trac rear end. That's about as American as Texas! Tried and true accessories for the best selling truck on the planet. F-irst O-n R-ace D-ay! Calm down you Chevy guys, the facts are the facts. It's the best selling truck on planet earth. Amen. The underneath of this truck is as clean as the topside. There is ZERO rust and no rust repair. It drives down the road without a single squeak or rattle. There is no slop in the power steering, it goes down the road straight, brakes without pulling to either side and with power disc brakes in the front it stops on a proverbial dime. There isn't anything in the handling and appearance of this truck that doesn't scream NEW or EXTREME LOW MILEAGE. It has dual fuel tanks and they both function as designed. It came from the factory with the tow package (frame mounted hitch and plug). The power window motors were both replaced and go up and down like new. The windshield has no chips nor wiper tracks. The fuel gauge works, the clock works, it has an aftermarket stereo/CD player that works with a large speaker set up behind the seat, it has an oil pressure gauge and a water temp. gauge under the dash, all of the lights work, the heater blows hot and the fan and various controls all work as they should. Even the key buzzer still works. The paint is quite beautiful as can be seen in the pictures. There are a few touch ups but not a single spot where rust is bubbling through or staining the paint. There are a few minor chips but hard to find. The chrome is in excellent condition and there isn't a single dent in any of the aluminum trim. The only blemish on the chrome is the passenger side mirror has a few small scratches and a ding from hitting something in the past thirty something years. The interior is in phenomenal shape with no evidence of wear in the seat and no de-threading on any of the seams. Even the cardboard on the back of the seat is in amazing condition. The only thing this truck needs is an owner with a garage and a love for a well preserved icon of American automotive styling. This is special history stuff that another generation needs to see as a reminder of how things once were. Wherever you drive it be prepared for a photo shoot. All shipping is the responsibility of the purchaser but I will jump through hoops to accommodate them and keep it stored indoors until pick up (within reason folks). Payment MUST be made within five days of purchase and either cash face to face or a bank wire transfer. No exceptions. If you care to learn anything else, have questions, want photos, give me a call at 817 403-7723. I have an iPhone and will do FaceTime with anyone who is serious so that you can see that the photos do not in any manner misrepresent the condition of this truck. All of the photos are current. Some were taken today. I will NOT answer emails through Ebay such as "What is your bottom dollar." If I believe that you are serious and make a serious offer I will disclose it. I will send photos through this site if needed or I can text them to you. Tell me where you want the camera pointed and I will send the shot. Thanks for your interest!
