After...taking possession of the car we brought it into our shop, raised it up on the lift and after removing the engine oil pan saw that it had a broken connecting rod. Apparently the owner drove too fast through a water puddle on the road and splashed water up into the engine air intake. The piston couldn't compress the water so it broke the connecting rod. We fully repaired the car using original GM parts and after a thorough test drive we are pleased to report that this Reliable Traverse runs & drives smoothly, is mechanically sound, and has no dash warning lights on.
