Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 1950 Mercury chop top. I purchased this vehicle summer of 2018 from Texas. All the work done to this Merc was done previously so I don't have many specifics on by who and when the work was done. The car was shipped to the gentleman in Texas I purchased it from to continue restoration but the owner fell on hard times and ended up making a deal with him on the car. When the car was titled to that first owner it was titled in Illinois. Anyways, I purchased the car, had it shipped to me in Missouri and put it in my garage and haven't done anything with it. I just accepted a job in California so this and my other 5 cars must go. Top is already chopped, all handles, trunk and gas cap shaved. The rear bumper is molded into the body as well, not sure if this is original or done as part of the shaved look? I am by no means no expert on these lead sled Mercs so if anybody has any advice please let me know. The firewall has been smoothed as well. Has a Mustang II front end, front disk brakes. I believe he said the rear end was an 8.8. Front and rear seats look to be in great condition. Front bumper is in the car I believe. I haven't pulled anything out of it yet. Looks like front windshield is in there as well and is already cut to fit. I know there are quite a few odds and ends like trim and whatnot in the tub. Has a Chevy 383 stroker in it. As you can see, somebody was not very smart and did not cover/plug any of the openings on the engine. Who knows how long they have been sitting open exposed. Basically this car has had a great deal of work done to it, but it still needs completely finished and restored. The body work still needs to be completed, see pictures of the passenger side. Hood is not on the hinges although I believe the hinges are there. Truck lid is mounted on the hinges. I always suggest, recommend and welcome coming out to view in person. I've done my best to accurately describe this vehicle. If I were not moving so far away I would hang on to it even if not working on it but it's gotta go. Clean and clear title. I know what the car is worth and expect to get such out of it. This is a great start to a Merc chop top.
