Red VW Jetta. “Good/fair” shape; pretty average for a car this age & mileage. The Good:- serviced regularly - sunroof - heated seats - New starter, alternator, water pump, timing belt, camshaft position sensor, passenger side caliper and pads… As of summer of 2017 - New battery November 2016 - local garage deemed it “inspectable” in May of 2018 The Bad:- needs minor bodywork - no air-conditioning - it sat for months, so it is hard to shift, and rarely goes into reverse; needs a synchronizer- it will sometimes not hold a charge, especially in winter. We’ve had it checked all over for a power drain, but it has become prohibitive to keep The Story: We got sick of misdiagnoses of the charging problem and just bought a new commuter (Feb 2018.) I almost had this sold a couple of times and the buyers never panned out, so now I’m using eBay with its protections. This car is a LOT of fun to drive; very zippy. Cool sunroof.
