Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback, 289 4 barrel, factory 4 speed transmission. Not sure if the motor is original to the car or the mileage on the car ”as it won’t let me enter it properly above” but can give you the mileage on the odometer if needed. This beauty has been sitting in storage for the last 6 years before i had purchased it. I was told that the car had ran and drove when it was put up for storage “Due to the brakes not working” but within an hour of having the car, and putting some fresh gas to her the 289 fired up. Obviously it will need a little more work to get it running and idling correctly. This mustang looks to be in above average shape for the year but is still being sold as a car in need of restoration. I think with a little work Someone would be able to get the mechanicals all working properly to drive it, however i would still restore it. I am not a mustang fan so i am not looking to restore it as i have several first gen camaro’s. Car was bought with the intentions of restoring with my father and brother, but bought another camaro instead. Car is being sold AS IS and only being listed once as i have applied the “CLEAR” title in my name and should have in hand this week. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Payment due in 7 days after bid, car will need trailer’d, and cash or cashiers check before pickup. Thanks,On Dec-22-18 at 19:12:12 PST, seller added the following information: Update: I have attached a photo of the door tag as well. I have been asked about rust on the car. The only rust I see on the body of this car is on the lower front corner of the passenger door. As for underneath the car we do not have a lift to put the car up on, but from what I seen crawling under the car it looks pretty good. Someone may have put 2 patch panels in the floor boards but not certain. Motor starts as stated, but does not mean it will drive on its own. We started it, but it needs help throttling to stay running, we put it in gear as it did roll forward and reverse. And yes, as you can see in the photos it is a rare bench seat car. If I think of anything else I will add an update. On Dec-23-18 at 12:09:19 PST, seller added the following information: Just had another comment from another interest deciphering the door tag. Says the bench seat may be out of a 68 and does not believe this is a GT, came with a 3 speed, but indeed a fastback. Thanks for the feedback as any input helps. On Dec-24-18 at 10:06:48 PST, seller added the following information: Sorry for all the updates but i like to share the information that i receive. So, i had a gentleman contact me and said he used to own this car. It was apparently restored by a gentleman back in 1985 for his daughter, however she did not like it so it sat in his barn from 1986 to 1997 until purchased by the gentleman who contacted me. When he purchased the car he pulled the motor and tranny out and placed the 289 with 4 speed pout of a 65 that he had purchased. Again, just trying to depict the car as best as possible and appreciate all the info i have been receiving from people about the car. I keep getting asked where the bidding stops at on the car at this time. There is no reserve on this car anymore, Reserve has been met so this car will be selling to the highest bidder at this time. If you are the highest bidder this will be your car. I have also added a couple photos from the gentleman who contacted me showing the car when it was restored in 1985 and a picture of the door tag information showing what the car had. Thanks again for all the information everyone. On Dec-25-18 at 18:25:14 PST, seller added the following information: As stated in a previous update I’ve had several state when researching the door tag they all believe the car can not be a GT car. Car is being sold as a 67 Fastback, not a GT. When you try to revise the item it will not let you change the title That’s why it is still showing GT in the title. If you win this car and believe it’s not what you thought, it’s no big deal I will keep the car. You can contact me at 314-713-2771. Thanks
