I’m selling my 1970 Triumph 500 Daytona, built in Sept 1969. Clear title in my name. The bike starts easy two kicks from cold, one kick when warm. Runs well and sounds good. Previous owner spent $500 at a local shop having the bike gone over and the charging system repaired, and new tires. The bike looks rougher in person then in the pics. Scratches and minor rust, dents and dings. I replaced the stock high bars with new low euro spec bars, new lever assemblies, new clutch cable, new shocks, air cleaners, new chain, new centerstand because it was missing when I bought the bike. The speedo is a new repro and doesn’t quite match the tach. The speedo that was on the bike wasn’t original and was for a 650 and read incorrectly so I replaced it. Actual mileage is unknown. The wiring is a mess, although the high/low beam, horn and rear brake and tail light all work. The ammeter showed charging when I bought the bike but doesn’t seem to now. It does have a minor oil leak, I think it is trans. I have too many other projects and not enough time so it needs to go to a new home. It would make an excellent winter project. I do have some new small parts and manual to go with the bike.
