Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 2000 Jeep Cherokee XJ 4x4 with ~219K miles. I am using the vehicle as a daily driver so the mileage is increasing until the vehicle sells. The Jeep has the 4.0L I6 engine, the best engine Jeep ever built. Talk to any jeep mechanic and they will tell you that the 4.0L is powerful, reliable and easy to maintain. It has an automatic transmission and the NP231 part time four wheel drive transfer case with both high and low range. This jeep is a mechanically sound, tough 4x4 ready for your winter adventures. Perfect vehicle for a winter commuter in the mountains. Cherokees are also popular platforms for extreme 4x4 vehicle builds, so aftermarket lift kits and off road armor are readily available if you want to upgrade. Heater blows hot and AC blows cold.On Nov-26-18 at 12:08:40 PST, seller added the following information: Additional details of options and maintenance added to answer one potential buyer's questions: 4.0L I6AW4 automatic transmissionNP231 transfer caseChrystler 8.25" rear axleDana 30 front axleTrailer hitchI purchased this Jeep in November of last year from the original owner with plans to use it as a daily driver for a few years. I bought another jeep with cleaner paint so this one needs a new home. The jeep had great suspension, steering and drivetrain which is why I bought it. The cooling system had a leak and the front brakes were due for replacement so I went through the truck and did all of the maintenance with plans to use the jeep as my daily driver for a few years. Here is a list of the work I did right after I bought it last year: New front brakes (pads and rotors)New radiatorNew water pumpNew thermostatFixed wiring to rear lift gate (licence plate lights, heated rear window, rear wiper and rear window sprayer work now)Installed a trailer hitch (so I could put my hitch mounted bike rack on)Flaws or damage I've noticed in my year of ownership and daily driving: There is a slight dent in the passenger side front fender, visible in the photos. The vinyl on the driver's seat is torn from getting in and out (common for XJs) The electric door locks are intermittent (common for XJs) The paint clear coat is peeling off and there is some surface rust above the windshield as a result (common for XJs).
