Up for auction is a 1933 Chevy Eagle —3- Window 2- Door Coupe. This car is a full frame off restoration and is in near Perfect Condition and will be beyond any ones Expectations. Often referred to as the Eagle in its time, this Coupe was considered to be a full sports car class vehicle. This car was called the Eagle with the same exact car issued later that year in a second production series being named the Master. There is a slight variance in the window roll up sequence that distinguishes the two cars models from each other. There is great parity between these two cars-They are essentially the same exact car. However, The majority of collectors you will find , prefer this Eagle edition over the Master. That being said , this first production edition for the year is a bit more sought after, collectible , and more valuable as well.. This is a Full Metal Body car and is completely free of any rust. It is a true 85 year old jewel in its fully completed “Like New” original condition. Under the hood , It is fitted with the/an original larger “Stove Bolt Six” for this year in the Eagle edition cars. A 206 Cubic inch inline six cylinder. It is paired with a three speed manual transmission featuring synchromesh ( Chevys signature shifting series introduction that year) for much easier gear shift changes- A very unique and innovative feature of this year model. Another key innovation of this era is the Starterator which allows the car to start with a simple application of the gas pedal to the floor. This car starts effortlessly with a push of the pedal everytime. This car drives very smooth with the steady acceleration one would expect of a New engine. The engine is easily accessed from either side with a simple lift of handles located on the engine cover. The cover is vented with a set of three fully functional chrome tipped vents located on each side. All are easily fully functional and like new as well. The car is also equipped with 4 wheel mechanical brakes. This car was very meticulously restored in a masterly way. Again, This is also a Texas car ...from the South. It is completely “Rust Free!” When viewing this Chevy Eagle , It fully evident , and is very easy to appreciate the hours and hours of work it took to complete this car. You will find none cleaner, nor nicer. This care is a true work of Art. This car is well completed with a nice wet look of green paint. This paint job is very well done with a high gloss glassy smooth appearance. I rate it a 9+/10. The car is completed with a deep deep black paint on the trim and fenders to compliment the body. The paint color scheme ties in well to give a very sporty classic appearance. No expense was spared at all. The spoked wheels are finished in a nice beige color with matching wheel well accents. The wheels and tires are in like new condition. The color scheme and combinations of these pre-war edition sports cars gradually ignited a flashier-more colorful era of sporty cars. The interior brings to life a golden era of cars with unique chrome accents around chrome and black gauge clusters. The dash is jazzed up and was even advertised at the time, as shiny chrome trim plating, patterned after “Aviation Style” engineering of the era. Located on both doors are two window cranks opening two separate windows on both doors. One being a crank swivel for full ventilation and circulation of air for a cooler ride. The other crank is for a roller type window on each door with up and down rolling movement. The doors both are equipped with locks- this feature was less common during this era. The interior is a Mohair Brown color. These seats rival today’s new cars as far as comfort level. The comfort of the seats is similar to a thickly padded couch. This car will be very comfortable as a cruiser and equally comfortable on longer trips as well. These cars were decorated and dressed up with plenty of nice chrome from front to back. All of the Chrome is in excellent condition and fully compliment and complete this car well. The Eagle class car is also equipped with a comfortable full two seater rumble seat. You will find it amply padded and safely fitted with a front “hold on” bar for passengers. A very suitable seat for ones Mother-in-Law , children , or friends. The rear passenger seat is spacious and designed with plenty of leg room. This car is a perfect restored original. Overall, You will find this car very sporty, vibrant, fun to drive.
