Selling my 1971 Pontiac LeMans convertible 455. I bought the car from an older gentleman in VA. He was the 2nd owner of the car. I have the title from 1984. He told me he rebuilt the 455 engine and spared no expense building it. It has and Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold. It also has headers, a TH350 automatic transmission and 3:55 posi rear end. The engine has approx. 4000 miles since the rebuild. The body has 104,000 miles but you couldn't tell by looking at it. The car runs excellent and stops on a dime with the power front disc brakes.The power top is in beautiful shape with no holes or leaking. It also has a glass rear window. The power top switch will need some attention. The interior is very clean. The floor pans and frame rails are solid. The trunk pan does have a rust hole but nothing major. (See pictures)The car isn't a show car but turns heads everywhere I go. The paint job was done back in the 80's so there are some areas of bubbling. There is no radio but the previous owner did install a set of gauges to monitor voltage, oil pressure and engine temp. This is a driver quality car. If you're looking for a Barrett Jackson car go to Vegas and spend $35,000 for a GTO.The paint on the hood and trunk do show sun fade but I think with a good compound and wax the shine will come back. The LeMans has a unique map light on the rear view mirror that still works! Here are some other accessories that the LeMans has: Rear adjustable air shocks, Mickey Thompson aluminum valve covers, Edelbrock high flow air cleaner, Accel yellow coils and 8mm spark plug wires, chrome harmonic balancer, stainless steel lines, new alternator, and high torque starter. There is absolutely no door sag on the LeMans and the rocker panels have no rust. The only issue is with the hood sitting flush on the passenger side. It can be seen in the pictures. I think it might need a new spring in the hood hinge. I have 2 keys for the LeMans. I also have a walk around video of the car. Just send me your email address and I can send it to you.
