This 2005 Prius is super clean inside and out. Included are the original Prius floor mats that came with the car that were always covered by additional mats to protect them, the drivers side still shows some wear regardless. This car has always been serviced by the dealer whether it be basic oil changes or general maintenance. The tires are on the newer side with plenty of rubber remaining. The only rust I saw is around the screws that hold the rear license plate as you may or may not see in the photo. The front brakes are like new but the rear drum brakes are due for a change as they're starting to make noise at low speeds and when braking, the noise goes away over 5 mph. There was an issue with the hybrid battery which triggered the dreaded red triangle warning light to show on the dash. The battery was removed. inspected, and it was determined that one of the 28 cells that make up the battery pack was bad showing lower voltage than the rest. The cell was replaced. battery was reassembled and reinstalled and the red warning light is no longer present. This car does have 149,000 miles but has always been a very dependable car for us. With continued proper maintenance there's no reason it shouldn't last for another 149,000 miles. I would encourage anyone interested to please come and inspect the car prior to making any commitment. On Oct-27-18 at 02:04:00 PDT, seller added the following information: While getting the car ready for sale we took the mats out and washed them and put them back in the car before they were thoroughly dry I guess because now there is a bit of a musty odor. Hopefully it will go away in time but the wife thought it was noteworthy as some people are very sensitive to that kind of thing and we want there to be no surprises.
