Selling one very original super clean 1971 El Camino. I purchased this truck a few years back from the family of the original owner for a first truck for my son. He decided he wanted a Jeep, so I fixed it up for myself since its such a clean original truck. I'm told this is the original paint. It looks to me like the tailgate may have been painted at some time, since it looks a lot newer. It does have a very small dent in the driver's side front fender. I took a picture so I could be as honest about this truck's condition as possible. I rebuilt the original 350 engine and turbo 350 automatic transmission. At that time I replaced the AC compressor and dryer. I rebuilt the carburetor and put a new alternator and starter in it as well. It runs super well, has great sound with nice reliable power. AC works and blows cold. I rebuilt the radiator and it got all new hoses and belts with the rebuild. Basically anything touched was replaced or checked for reliability. Brakes, tires, and suspension have all been checked and anything needing replacing has been done. You can drive this truck anywhere. It's not a project, but ready to go out and enjoy. The interior is super nice. I did replace the carpet. Again, this is an original, rust-free, super clean California car. It gets a ton of compliments and turns a lot of heads every time I drive it. Since the paint is original, as you can see from the pictures, it doesn't have any patch panels or Bondo that I can see. Nor does it have replacement floors like those other rusty project cars out there for sale. The bed isn't all dented up like most 47 year old trucks. It does show your typical scratches that you would expect to see. I tried to take a lot of pictures, so bid with confidence. Please feel free to email me with any questions.
