Vehicle Detail

I recently acquired this beautiful Si from the original owner, who obsessed over the car. My intention was to have someone in my family keep it, long term. Unfortunately, we're unable to accommodate another vehicle, so I'm putting it on the market. Interesting that there's another very nice, rust-free 1992 Si on ebay presently. Both will make their new owners very happy, because they're incredibly fun, reliable, and practical cars with too many miles to store away as garage queens. My car is available for viewing in York, PA, and is only being advertised on ebay. I'll be happy to answer any questions or produce more photos. With the auction around 24 hours from ending, I wanted to add a few points that I either didn't address in my narrative and/or wasn't able to show in the photos. 1. Roof paint condition. The rooftop fading is pronounced, yet limited to the area between the black trim pieces that run from front to rear, and both in front of and behind the sunroof. What my pictures don't show is one additional small area (around the size of a quarter) at the driver's side rear corner, just outside of the roof area, where the paint has de-laminated slightly. I could send a picture offline, as I don't seem to be able to add any more to this listing. 2. Driver's seat bolster. The material is free of wear, and the bolster structure isn't deformed or "tired". However, there is a seam in the fabric that must've separated at some point, and the original owner appears to have self-repaired it. It's not a bad job, except that she either used light-colored thread or the thread has faded. Further, there's a piece of fabric - around the size of a dime - that she didn't tuck into the repair. Ditto as above with the picture. Overall with this issue, to me the lack of wear is most important, and the stitching could easily be redone so the repair isn't noticeable. 3. VTEC operation. Completely functional. As surprisingly torquey as the engine feels at low revs - maybe a function of the car's light weight - the VTEC kicks in noticeably (power and sound) at around 4,800 rpm.
