Vehicle Detail
1975 Honda CB750K5 - Up for auction at NO RESERVE is an honest, original and unmolested CB750. Bidding starts @ $1,000 plus $1 per cc ($1,736). This auction is being re-listed due to previous winning bidder having a medical issue and unable to complete the transaction. Receiving numerous accolades, the CB750 was released in 1969 to much praise and dubbed the first Superbike. Almost 50 years later it makes for a great classic ride. This Planet Blue 1975 K5 is no exception and a real time capsule. The second owner bought this bike in 1977 with only 500 miles; it now has approximately 27,600 miles (mileage may go up slightly). It has been very well maintained over the years, ridden only until the mid-90s then stored properly with little riding since. After pulled from storage, the fuel tank, lines, and carbs were cleaned and she fired right up. Tank is super clean on the inside and has never been lined - which is awesome. I changed the oil, replaced air and oil filters, spark plugs and a new battery was added. Riding this classic CB, the motor sounds great and pulls strong. Transmission and clutch are smooth. Brakes and handles as it should. A real blast from the past. Cosmetically she's a wonderful example. They're only original once! Paint is excellent with no dents and few blemishes. Battery side covers are intact with no cracks - the left side cover may have been replaced/repainted long ago otherwise all factory original. Chrome is good with some light pitting here and there. The seat is original with no rips or tears. The exhaust is original with no holes and in very good condition. The tires have good tread - I replaced the front with a Dunlop K70 and the rear is a Metzler Perfect ME77 with excellent tread. All patina consistent with the age and character of the bike. Overall a very well kept and original example - ready to ride! Rare to find in this condition. Please look at the pics closely. I have tried to describe this motorcycle to the best of my knowledge. It is a 44-year old vintage bike and sold "as-is" without any warranty implied or expressed. If you have any questions please ask before bidding. The bike is available to view in person. Please contact me to arrange. Winning bidder will be required to pay a non-refundable $250 PayPal deposit within 48 hours of auction end. Balance to be paid in 7 days via cash, bank check, money order or wire transfer. I can assist in preparing the bike for shipping and also hold it for a reasonable period of time awaiting transport. I am also available to deliver within a reasonable distance for a reasonable fee. The bike is up for sale locally, I reserve the right to end the auction early.
