Vehicle Description Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that... I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 70+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2008 Ford Taurus X SEL AWD with just 160k miles. I would rate the exterior of this Taurus X to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking cross-over. It is finished in two tone silver and gray over tan leather interior, which is a striking color combination. The silver finish shines nicely and looks smooth all around. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this Taurus X, the only damage worth pointing out is the obvious dent on the RF fender. Aside from that, just a few normal rub marks on the bumpers and such as you'd expect with any older vehicle. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the trim and cladding is present and shows well. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a matching set of Hancooks with good tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos to see how clean this Taurus X came in. I would rate the interior of this Taurus X to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean, too. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. The leather seats are clean, comfortable and show virtually no wear. The power windows, locks, seats and mirrors all work properly. The audio system is original and sounds good through the factory speakers. There are steering wheel audio controls, too. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to also be working properly. It offers independent temperature settings for both the driver, passenger and rear area. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. This Taurus X has the factory optional rear DVD entertainment system, which is nice for long trips. Access to the 3rd row is simple and there is an impressive amount of room back there. When not in use, the 3rd row easily folds flat to open up a generous amount of cargo capacity. These are great, great cars. I've had one in my family for the past 4 years and owning it is an absolute blessing. It is one of the most versatile vehicles I have ever seen. Mechanically, this Taurus X appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 3.5L V6 starts easily and runs smoothly. I haven't noticed any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. This Taurus X is a pleasure to drive. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with zero issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints...at all...period. The AWD system is tested and working properly. Like I said, I've had one of these in my family for years and it is one of the most capable vehicles out there. Ours is an 05 and I bought it with 165k miles. It now has 220k and still runs like the day I bought it. I'd be lying if I said I haven't considered upgrading ours with this one and selling off the old one but it has been such a good car, I am actually curious to see how long it'll keep going. If you're looking for a rock solid AWD vehicle that looks good, drives even better and is a rock star at virtually everything, this 2008 Taurus X deserves your careful consideration.
