Vehicle Detail

1964 Triumph T100SC 1 of only 342 produced 1 Family owned for 64 years This is a rare opportunity to own a wonderful example of an extremely rare motorcycle. The Triumph was originally purchased from Johnson Motors in California. Most of these bikes were raced and ridden hard, thus few remain and the few that did survive are beat up pretty bad. This bike presents itself as if it was never off road. Please notice the photo of the underside of the frame-no dents, bends, dings etc. These bikes were so rare they don’t appear in most Triumph manuals. I do have an original copy of a Cycle magazine road test from 1965 which comes with the bike. The bike went from father to son and according to the son, at some point it had a $10k restoration. No paperwork exists so unknown what was actually done. Sometime later, the son laid it over injuring himself and basically never road it again. When I got the bike it had been repaired (mostly cosmetic-levers grips etc.). At that point it had many incorrect parts which I have since replaced with correct parts. The speedo is a reproduction but I have the original, 7100 miles. And appears to be working correctly and needs only correct case. All new rubber, air cleaner etc. Seat shows a little wear but appears to be factory original. Electronics have been upgraded to electronic ignition and 12 volt. These bikes have a magneto and no key and no battery. All lights function as they should (dim at low idle, bright otherwise), and the ignition works so good that this bike is as close to a one kick bike as I have ever seen. (there’s always that exception, usually right after I brag about it!). Engine and trans run/shift very well. Engine sounds excellent and tight. Minor drips of oil as usual but I would say leaks less than any Triumph I ever had. Unique shift indicator works also. Brakes are good, keeping in mind it’s 1964 technology. Paint is excellent with all chrome in excellent condition. Minor blemish on left headlight mount, (easy fix). Tires present as new but may want to replace them as I can’t confirm their age. Original Aluminum fenders are in excellent shape. Some minor scratches but for a bike designed for racing, miracle when they survive at all. Minor scratches on muffler-see pic. Bike has incorrect knee pads but bike comes with new correct set (made in England). NOS tank badges Bike is currently registered and titled in California. Bike comes with California Black plate that previous owner states was the original plate. I can assist with shipping, please contact me.
