My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that... I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 60+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1999 Chevrolet Express 3500. I would rate the exterior of this cargo van to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking van. It is finished in fleet white and shows well for an old van. The finish shines nicely for its age and looks smooth all around. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific van, the worst I can say is that there is some normal paint chipping along the roof. This is common as these vehicles age and is easily visible in the photos. There are some scratches, small dents and such as you'd expect to find in an old van...but nothing terrible. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood and doors all open and close easily...except the left rear door, which I could not open. The windshield is cracked and will need replaced to pass inspection, if your state has vehicle inspections. The factory steel wheels show well and are wrapped in nice rubber with good tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this old van looks on the outside. I didn't notice any body rust while walking around this van, which is unusual. Typically, these vans are noticeably rusted by this age. I would rate the interior of this van to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are present and show well. The seats are presentable for their age. The windows roll up and down easily. It doesn't smell the greatest, but it is nearly a 20 year old work van so your expectations shouldn't be too high in the cleanliness department. There is a metal partition to keep whatever you're hauling from killing you. There is a rack in the back. It looks to be just sitting there not attached to anything...but it's a free rack (beats no rack). Walking around the cargo area, the floor feels solid. The radio works. The heater works. The air conditioner does not. That is all. Mechanically, this van appears to be in good running and driving condition but will need serviced. The 5.7L Vortec V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. There is something obviously wrong with the power steering. I am guessing there is a leak somewhere. When I got the van, it was whining and making all sorts of noise. I did add fluid and it got better, but there is something going on that will need attention. The engine itself feels strong. She keeps good temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. The tried and true 350ci V8 makes plenty of power. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with zero issues. Her road manners are good for an old van. The suspension feels nice and tight. Out on the highway, she drives straight with no complaints. You'll have to address whatever is going on with the power steering but, other than that, she seems like a solid van that is ready to work. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
