Buyer Beware: If this is your first exotic and you heard rumors about exotic cars costing a lot to maintain well there is some truth to that. If you buy a Lamborghini Huracan you will pay 200 to 300 for an oil change. On the other hand, if you buy a Ferrari you will probably have to change the engine out every couple of years. I might be willing to come down on the price a tad but it just depends on how I feel that day. First and foremost I will guarantee you that this car has never been dogged. No drifting, no launching or anything of the sort. The car was definitely driving at high speeds from time to time. Huracan's have a launch sequence that can be done called "Thrust Mode". It's almost like having a flux capacitor but without going back in time. I have never used this mode, not even when Marty McFly drove it. Whether you are looking to purchase my car or another car with what would be considered high miles for a Lamborghini don't let that be the reason you overlook these particular vehicles. Many people buy their first Lamborghini thinking they need to look for the car with the lowest miles. When buying a car with 3k to 7k miles etc. that has not been driven much you will not know about potential problems that can appear once the car has some real mileage on it. Most of these cars are also out of warranty which can backfire on you since the car has not been road proven. This is mostly true with Murcielago and Gallardo. There are definitely some horror stories out there. I have owned several models of Lamborghini and the Huracan is by far an entirely different breed. These cars have held up extremely well regardless of the miles but that doesn't mean you can't get burned with a low mileage vehicle. It's no secret that many of these low-mileage cars are simply garage queens. Some owners think if they polish it every week the car is going to be in perfect condition. Maybe for a photo op but definitely not roadworthy if there is an underlying problem that was never found because no one drove the car, therefore, certain services were not applied. It's also no secret that Audi owns Lamborghini. They have re-engineered these vehicles to be roadworthy. Buying a Lamborghini or Audi with higher miles is not a risk. I'm not suggesting go find one with 60k plus miles but I am recommending to find one with fair miles. You will save a nice chunk of change as well as have a roadworthy vehicle since it was actually driven. Don't let dealerships hype you up about low-mileage cars because, in the end, you are the one that's going to lose the money when you decide to sell or trade. Definitely, do not buy one new because you will lose an average of 50k to 80K in the first year. When it comes to Lamborghini you should be more focused on your personal taste such as exterior color and interior stitching color. Don't buy yellow or black because of a low price. There's a reason some colors are cheaper. That's because they are all over like cat shit and hard to sell. Black cars are a bitch to clean and yellow looks like Big Bird bought his first Lamborghini for Sesame Street promo videos. Don't be stuck with a low mileage lemon and a color that sticks out like a turd in a punchbowl such as big bird yellow, Halloween Orange or Nickelodeon Slime Green even though the Italian name for these colors sound fancy.
