Before I purchased the truck it was owned and maintained Wayne Artfitch from Toms Garage in Hopewell, NJ. Engine is a 302 originally from a 1979 LTD. Four speed transmission (3 spd plus overdrive) is from an 81 Ford van, look closely the air filter top is not missing, it's clear. The 1956 Ford F100 is rare and hard to find as the 1956 F100 was a one-year only body style. The body and frame have been kept original as well as the front and rear axles and suspension. Original manual drum brakes are still intact. This is great to drive and enjoy, or a strong starting point for a custom truck or restoration project. The pics should give you a very honest representation of the truck. Bed floor is a large steel plate that has been placed over the original type wood floor with the retaining strips. No heat. Clear NJ Title. I purchased the truck in 2014 in hopes that I would take on this project but then work and life (new job, new baby, etc.) got in the way. I purchased it and also purchased about $4,000 worth of parts, which come with the purchase of the truck. Also, about a month ago I took it to the mechanic to get the truck running smoothly and spent $700. Overall this is a great truck and would be a lot of fun who has a passion for restoration projects.
