1973 BMW 2002, sunroof, round tail light coupe, 4-speed manual transmission, in Riviera Blue with 150,000 miles. An original survivor. This is a seasonal toy that we keep for summer use. The car is located in Southern Maine 1 hour 20 minutes north of Boston, MA. We have included as many photos as possible. Clear title in hand. It runs well, fires right up and starts every time, and shifts well. It is mechanically sound although it does sometimes blow blue oil smoke on startup but then settles in. All electrical All trim and brightwork is in good shape. All electrical components work and the previous owner spent $800 on a professional aftermarket stereo system from AVI in Boston (JL speakers etc.) The stereo is hidden behind a period correct two post stereo cover plate so it looks original. The dash has some cracks. Vinyl seats are in very good shape with no rips or tears. The headliner is in good shape. The glass is in good shape. We have done significant work to maintain the car over the years particularly underneath having spent thousands to replace brake lines, fuel lines, repaired all rust on chassis and floorboards. It is solid underneath, on the front end, trunk, and rear end and doors. Newer fuel tank. The car was last painted 12 years ago by a local guy in its original Riviera Blue and has begun to show nominal signs of rust around the right rear wheel arch, front drivers side fender, driver side rocker panel and has significant rust on the front of hood which will need to be addressed. A very usable fun to drive 2002. We are classic car lovers and want to describe the car as accurately as possible. Our 2002 no longer gets much use so it is time for it to go to someone else to enjoy. The driver's side mirror glass is missing. A whole new period mirror assembly is also included.
