If you are looking for one of the best first-generation C70s out there, you've found it. This white beauty spent most of its life on a Florida estate, garaged and pampered. It is a sharp car inside and out, and it has a new red cloth top that looks great on it. Cream colored leather seats are in excellent condition with no tears, complimented by light wood accents. This light interior helps keep the convertible cool. 2004 was the final year for the soft-top Volvo. The folding hard top version that followed is a neat car in its own way, but the soft-top car has the most rakish good looks. The final years of this elegant body were lightly facelifted and are distinguished from their predecessors by clear headlamps and running lights and an eggcrate grill. Cars are only new once and this one with its 53,430 miles is closer to new than most currently available. As a longtime Volvo club member and enthusiast, I can assure you it's not easy to find ANY Volvo from this era with such low miles. It is barely broken in. This car has the 2.4 LT turbo engine. It runs great and is a joy to drive, with seats that feel great on a long drive. It gets lots of compliments and interest. It also is notable for being a convertible that takes safety seriously, delivers decent economy, and is a true four-seater.I'm a Volvo enthusiast and long-time Volvo Club of America member. I've owned a number of vintage Volvos and garage this C70 next to my 1967 122S. When we got married I was excited for my wife to have her first Volvo and this one fit the bill perfectly. I looked long and hard for this one and have taken good care to preserve it. We are only selling it now because she got a new job and needs a four door car. We are gonna miss this sweet Swede! This car has original paint. I touched up bumper scratches and chips rather than repaint the bumpers to preserve that originality. The interior is also in excellent condition. The seats have a protectant on them that has done its job well. The car had deeply tinted windows when we purchased it that helped protect the interior (we had to remove it to meet Virginia tinting law). The distinctive light wood on the dash is excellent, but on the bottom of the center console by the handbrake it separated and I removed the damaged parts. The alloy wheels are in excellent condition and the Sumitomo 205/55R16 tires are 1.5 years old and have lots of tread. The top is exactly a year old; the original one lasted 13 years and this one should have similar longevity. We live in Alexandria, Virginia, ten miles from Washington, D.C. and near three major airports (DCA, IAD and BWI). If you live far away, you can fly in and drive this car home with confidence. I may also be able to arrange delivery depending where you are. I will request a $500 deposit within 48 hours of the auction's end by PayPal. The remainder can be paid with a check or bank check. As soon as payment has cleared I can mail the title so you can register the car, or will work with you to get the car registered in Virginia or arrange drive-away plates from our department of motor vehicles.
