This 1971 Spanish Mini is not junk. It is a perfectly reasonable restoration candidate. It is a nearly rust free car from Southern Oregon. As seen in the pictures, the drip rails, rockers and underside have no significant rust. It is not a candidate for new floors or other panel replacement. Even the battery box is in very good shape. I have not found any bondo. It does have roll up windows. The sun roof is very good quality with glass not plastic glazing. If you have ever tried driving a Mini in the USA summer time you will immediately appreciate the sun roof's addition to air flow through the car. Thought to be a1275, it is not a Cooper S, although it does have multiple Cooper S features including 7.5 inch frontdisk brakes, and twin fuel tanks. It also has the desirable 12G940 cylinder head with 11 studs, andtwin SU carburators. The car is rolling on 4 decent Cosmic wheels, currently painted metallic silver,and 4 new zero mile (still have pips) Yokohama A008 tires. It does have, as pictured, a one piece fiberglass front end added by the previous owner in order to simplify working on the car. I do havea steel front clip that will be included if the buyer wants, and a steel hood that may or may not be usable.I don’t know the condition of the engine, as I have never tried to start it. Milage indicated is belivedto be accurate but I have no way of verifying it. I do not have a title. The car will be sold with abill of sale only.
