Vehicle Description Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that... I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 70+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE askind questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2006 Cadillac STS V8 with just 118k miles. I would rate the exterior of this STS to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking sedan. It is finished in dark red over black leather interior with factory chrome wheels. The finish shows a little fading from age but looks good overall. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. However, you'd be hard pressed to find much of anything worth complaining about as you walk around the exterior of this Cadillac. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory chrome wheels show well for their age and are wrapped in nice rubber with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would also rate the interior of this STS to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean, too. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The leather seats are clean, comfortable and show minimal wear. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The audio system is original and sounds good through the factory speakers. This STS is also equipped with factory optional touch screen GPS navigation. The trunk is spacious and clean, too. Again, please check out each of the photos carefully. Mechanically, this STS appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.6L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are okay. As far as the suspension goes, I believe she is due for at least new bushings all around. I've personally driven this car with absolutely no issues, so you can drive it anywhere. I can just hear a few small rattles here and there. Steering and braking feel good. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. It was pouring raining when I road tested this STS so I couldn't really open it up, but the engine felt to make good power. The check engine light is on. There were two lean codes, two catalyst efficiency codes and something else small...I can't recall the other one. The liklihood of both cats going bad at the same time is slim, although not impossible. The first thing I would check is the oxygen sensors. I say that because of the lean codes being there, too. Common sense tells me to start with what fits all of the symptoms and not to focus on just one code. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with zero issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. This STS cruises effortlessly at 80-90 mph and would make a great car with a little caught up maintenance.
