Vehicle Detail
1989 Chrysler TC Maserati Convertible hard top/soft top with 58,310 miles. Car #886 NO RESERVE!!! This has the 4 cylinder turbo (non-cosworth) engine which WILL need to be rebuilt (or replaced), It has a main bearing knock and smokes pretty heavily (the previous owner inherited this car from his aunt (original owner) and he never checked the oil, until it started knocking and was too late. This car does run and drive, but I would not recommend driving. Transmission shifts into drive and reverse fine. The hood cylinders (that hold the hood open) do not work. It will also need brake work, as the brakes grind when pressure is applied whilst slowing down. A/C compressor does not have a belt on it, and also the a.c clutch outer plate appears bent, and has silicone in between plates (I have no idea why, I would just assume the compressor is shot) The radio does not turn on, the passenger power seat does not work (it is in the full back position), there is a hole in the drivers seat and the seat itself is pretty worn (hole is about the size of a silver dollar), there are a few light dents (possibly hail) on the hood and trunk lid (about 6 or 7 total)(these can be repaired with paint-less dent removal), and there is some rust on the passenger side lower rocker panel (see pictures), it looks pretty manageable. Straight car, with very little rust, door jams, trunk jamsare very clean. Looks Great inside and out !!!carpet is pretty clean, tires are near 95% tread. The hard top , and the convertible soft top are in excellent condition (I did notice 2 small rub spots on convertible soft top, where it rubs against convertible top framing while folding it in and out, they are about the size of an m&m)The paint is in great condition, (from what the previous owner told me, it was garaged its entire life.)This car has a badge inside on the dashboard, right above the radio stating it was made specifically for a specific person (on badge) and is car #886 produced and imported from Italy. All in all this car is in very nice condition for its age, and is very straight and clean. -Please Look closely at all pictures.-I have done the best to explain every issue I noticed on the car, however feel free to ask questions. -Check out my feedback score and Bid with confidence!!!
