My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that... I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 70+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder with just 138k miles. I would rate the exterior of this Eclipse to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking convertible. It is finished in a light green with a black soft top and two tone leather interior. The green finish shines nicely and looks smooth all around. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. The only things I spotted while walking around the exterior of this Eclipse were a few small marks on the bumpers and spoiler...nothing big for a vehicle of this age and mileage. The convertible top looks to be in good condition. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in nice rubber with good tread all around. The only other thing I noticed is that the plastic piece of trim on the right side of the windshield seems to be loose. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would rate the interior of this Eclipse to also be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets and headliner are clean. The dash is cracked in a few places. If you look at the photos, you can see that the driver's seat is torn along a line of stitching, but the seat is still comfortable. The power windows, locks and mirrors all work properly. The power convertible top raises and lowers with the touch of a button. The original stereo has been upgraded with an aftermarket CD player which appears to be working properly and sounds good. The climate control system also appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner will freeze you out of the car. The trunk is good sized for a convertible, too. Again, please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. Mechanically, this Eclipse appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.4L engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older car. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. My only real complaint driving this car is a vibration / humming coming from the front. If I had to give an educated guess, I would guess that one of the rubber engine mounts is worn and is just catching a light vibration that the rubber mount would normally pick up and isolate. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. There have been no idiot lights on during my road test. I've personally put the last 100+ miles on this Eclipse with no problems at all. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with zero issues. Out on the highway, she cruises nice and straight with absolutely no complaints.
