1983 Honda Magna

Very original, not a barn find but a living room find! My elderly neighbor bought this new from Oakland California, Nelson Brothers Honda in Spring of 1983. Drove it locally for about 10 years then when he started to go blind and could no longer ride, he moved it from the car port to the living room backed up to the window where he could still occasionally start it and rev it from time to time to feel and hear the noise. It ended up sitting for the last 15 years, and when he died last year I purchased it. Comes with the original tool set, never even opened, comes with the original purchase paper, comes with the security cable, also never used, and comes with the original owners manual. The only modification was the addition dealer crash bars. I replaced the battery, rebuilt the clutch slave and master cylinder, and flushed the clutch line. Rebuilt the rear brake calibers, new pistons, and flushed all the brake lines and calibers. Cleaned and flushed all the fuel lines carbs, and coolant system, and replaced all four spark plugs and flushed the oil and replaced the oil filter. Does not overheat, and the coolant fan works as it is suppose to. All electrics and lights work perfectly, starts on the first punch of the starter. Clean Bill of sale, however California DMV back frees are to high to register in California, so sorry Californians! I was thinking of keeping it and making it road ready for myself, however this motorcycle is like no other I have ever ridden, the power speed of this bike is way too much for me. I love the 6 speeds, the smoothness and handling, but the power is insane. Lightly hitting the gas going uphill it feels the front wheel wants to come off the ground! Way too much power and speed for me, not sure what Honda was attempting to do but this bike should be on a race track rather then the streets. Negatives: Only one key original tires Soft dent on right side of tank (see pictures) Scratches on crash bars and right side of clutch case (see pictures)
