Vehicle Detail

I bought this ML as a third vehicle in order to keep some miles off of the car we are leasing. Now, with a little one on the way, we no longer need a third vehicle. In fact, we liked it so much, we ended up buying a newer ML. Overall it runs really well with tons of power and plenty of comfort items. I put almost 10k miles on it in 6 months and have done a lot of maintenance to include:New steering rackTie rod endsNew shocks (4) all aroundAlignmentDriveshaft carrier bearingMotor mountsCoolant overflow tankCoolant hoseOil cooler gasketsSpark plus (16) Oil changeAir filterCabin air filterPA InspectionKenwood CD playerAVS VentshadesWeather tech floor mats Rear cat delete Muffler replaced with large case Borla; not terribly loud but has a healthy AMG-like tone*All work completed by a Euro specialist shop, receipts included.*This was about as loaded as you could get an ML back 2002, here are a few of the highlights:5.0 V8Cruise controlXenon headlightsFog lightsFront and rear passenger airbagsHeated & powered front seatsMemory seat function for both sidesAutomatic climate controlRear climate controlAutomatic lightsRain sensing/automatic windshield wipersHeadlight cleansing systemAMG appearance packageExtra wood grain optionRunning boards Electric controlled 3rd row windowsMoonroofAftermarket bull barThe body is straight with without any dents, undercarriage is great with no rust, and it goes does the road smoothly with no issues; especially when you consider that the entire suspension has basically been replaced. Cosmetically, there are a few scratches as is typical of a vehicle this old, but overall the car shows well in the "Desert Silver" color. I have logged quite a few miles in a short period with this vehicle and it has been reliable and fun to drive. It is ready to ride anywhere and needs nothing in the way of its drivability. There are a few minor imperfections that I want to be transparent about: Wheels have a few light scuffs here and thereI noticed during the last hard rain that water got onto the drivers side floor mat (no damage was done due to the weathertec mat). I've been driving it in plenty of in climate weather all winter and this never happened, so I am assuming some dust/debris got into one of the drains and some air just needs to be blown through it. The car is rust free, with the exception of some light surface rust on the bottom of the driver door and a small spot above the rear spoiler. The cloth surrounding the interior A pillars is loose and needs to be re-glued Some of the clear coat on the wood grain around the cup holders is pealing a bit. I was able to do a test and get it to reattach simply by using some heat and a little emblem glue, just need to finish the rest. The plastic part holding the memory seat function on the drivers seat falls off at the edge from time to time. There is a crack on the back of the passengers side running boardThe windshield washer fluid reservoir does not like to be full, the fluid will trickle out very slowly until it's about halfway full and then stays. This car has served us well and has been a pleasure to own, it's simply time to move on. As you can see by the list above, I put a great deal of money into ensuring that it was properly maintained so I expect this ML to be on the road for many years to come in the right hands. It is being sold "as is" and, while I have done my best to represent its condition, I am not a mechanic so I would encourage you to check the vehicle out before bidding. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you should have any questions.
