For sale is a used 1996 BMW Z3. We bought this from a mechanic in town in 11/2016. He owned it since 08/2013. It had 111,288 mile on it. Now it has 111, 999 miles on it. My wife uses it a few days a week just whenever she has to go around town. The good: -This is a FUN CAR TO DRIVE!!!! -The car shifts and handles like a BMW should!! -The engine is strong with no major mechanical issues. -This was the first year of this car with low mileage for its age. -The gearbox and differential fluids were changed in 11/2016. -New tires October 2015. -New stereo and speakers October 2015 (although the stereo is not an OEM one). -New hoses, belts, vacuum and fuel hoses July 2014. -New Brembo pads, new front calipers, and brake system bled August 2014. -Bilstein struts and shocks September 2014. -New top October 2014. (This is a large expense on these cars!!!!) -All bulbs are l.e.d.s except for the turn signals (which would require a resistor). -We have a clean title!! The bad: -The check engine light comes on. We have re-set it but is still comes back. We were told it was the oxygen sensor and we have confirmed this with a scanner. Apparently when this was changed a value one was used but the computer doesn't like it. There is no reason to change this until some other repair on the vehicle becomes necessary. -The heater and AC do not work. The air blows but that is it. We have not had this checked because it was not a concern of ours. My wife drives this in good weather with the top down. -All of the inside dash components are there but they don't feel "solid." They do not come off or anything but can be pulled off with some effort. That is the best way i can describe that. -The clock doesn't work. -The switch to move the driver's side seat was installed backwards. It works, it's just that you have to push it the opposite direction to get it to go the way you want it to. The only reason we are selling this is because we moved to a property on a dirt road. Over time that will ruin the car. A hard cover Bentley Service Manuel is included with the car. Once payment is received and clears, the title and car will be turned over. When listing Ebay required a deposit. But i'd prefer just one payment. Buyer is responsible for shipping or picking the vehicle up. This is a no reserve auction!! I meant to say there were no major issues (all of which are noted above) with the car and the engine was strong with no mechanical issues. Thank you.
