Having only driven an additional 7,000 miles, the second owner sold it to its third and most recent owner in August, 2007. The latest owner has driven the car sparingly, only driving an additional 22,000 miles over a period of ten years. Reflected by its fabulous condition, he exquisitely cared for it, storing it in the garage and never driving it in the rain. The vehicle was maintained under the care of professionals and serviced regularly as evidenced by the thick stack of regular maintenance records which accompany the car. About the Honda S2000:Honda introduced the S2000 in Fall of 1999 as a 2000 model. According to Motor Trend Magazine, their goal was to "develop a convertible two-seater with quick acceleration, taut handling, crisp shifting, great braking ability, and looks to kill." The S2000 was designed with a "Hybrid Monocoque Body" and "High X-bone Frame" for exceptional vehicle stiffness and rigidity not normally seen in a roadster. This firmness, in conjunction with its finely tuned suspension gives the car a comfortable ride with no cowl shake in addition to precise handling characteristics.2004 and later models are most desirable due to the S2000's mid-cycle update (known internally as AP2) where they introduced a larger, more torquey 2.2 liter engine (increased from 2.0 liters). Other changes were larger diameter wheels, now up to 17", and retuned rear suspension along with new geometry.
