I am reluctantly selling my 2008 Mercedes SL550. I searched for quite a while to find one that met my standards for maintenance and condition. The 2007/2008 SL550's are much more powerful and quicker than the SL500's. I have had fast cars (Z06 Corvette) and this thing is quick. This car has 26 Mercedes dealer records on the Carfax with the last one being at 137K miles. I picked this car up in Florida and drove it over 900 miles back to Cincinnati without issue. When I got it home, we proactively replaced the heater valve, radiator, overflow bottle and radiator hoses with OEM parts due to our experience with the failure of plastic cooling system components on German cars. When this was done, the cooling system was flushed with Zerex G-05. The car looks and drives 100%. The condition of the car is phenomenal and it is stunning in person. It was owned by a surgeon in Florida who obviously garaged it at home and at the office. It looks and drives like a car with 30K miles on it. The top hydraulics, power trunk, climate control, Xenon headlights, active suspension, audio system, engine and transmission all work like new. It doesn't leak, starts readily and is very reliable. We have never had an ABC pump error on this car and the active suspension works as it is supposed to. The wheels are in good condition (not perfect), but no major curb rash. The tires are Michelin Pilot Super Sports in factory size with around 70% tread. I am selling because I don't see any way that I'll use it enough to justify keeping it. I have a company vehicle that I can drive daily. I enjoy restoring vehicles and just picked up a BMW M5 to restore so the Mercedes has to go. This is an extremely nice vehicle that has all maintenance up to date. Even the engine compartment looks close to new. Most cars from this area have lots of corrosion from salt. This car has never been in the salt or snow, as it was stored for the entire winter while I owned it.
