Jon is my go-to source for any metal-crafting we need done at the shop, but his true genius lies in his passion to create custom choppers and bobbers that are TRULY one-of-a-kind fabricated originals, not just bolt on parts catalog machines. This bike is named “3’s Company” because Jon envisioned it in three separate dreams, and tied them all together to create an incredibly original, well-sorted, and fantastic riding machine. CALL IF YOU'D LIKE TO MAKE AN OFFER TOBUY IT NOW!!!! 3’s Company starts with a complete ground-up custom frame fabricated by Vigilante and Jon’s two hands. Looking at the frame, the first thing to snag your attention is the way all the lines flow together from front to back. Then, you start looking at the unique and carefully matched mounts for everything from the engine to fender struts. Finally, you notice the INSANE weld quality and craftsmanship that ties it all together. This is the level of quality you get when you are actually building a bike, not just putting parts on a frame. A stash plug lets you hide your registration and other stuff, and Jon crafted a set of custom rabbit-ear T-bars just for the bike that look and feel perfect, and are capped with Lowbrow “fish scale” grips. Part of one of the 3 dreams envisioned the bike draped in the famous Smokey and The Bandit Black& Gold finish, so hand-machined brass components are used throughout the build, including the lower controls, pegs, hand controls, dual petcocks, and rear taillight cover. “Painted by Bryson” handled laying on the custom blended color for the bike, and it is as rich, deep, wet, and shiny as you could ever ask for. Once it was painted, he hand applied some seriously righteous multi-toned stripe work on the bike to set it off. The finish may show a small stone chip or something if you really start poking around, but I certainly don’t see anything worth mentioning. A customized narrowed Lowbrow Sporty tank was modified with the dual petcocks, and is the perfect fit for the bike. The powertrain is originally a 1978 Honda CB400, and it was pulled and completely rebuilt with a fresh clutch, electric start PLUS the original kick, fresh Mikuni VM32 Carbs mounted on hand-fabricated intake manifolds, NGK plugs and caps, and all new cables and hydraulic lines. All new electrical components, wiring, and drycell battery were added as well. One of the original 3 dreams showed him the exhaust, and so Jon painstakingly handmade a complete custom 2-into-one “up and over” exhaust that perfectly matched the lines of the frame, and sounds incredible too! A custom seat pan was fabricated before being hand-covered in real leather with custom stitching. All black powder-coated parts were done by Mad Ass Customs and look amazing. Vintage SUZUKI GS wheels were stripped and refinished, and got all new internals before being wrapped in new IRC tires. The bike fires up easily, idles cleanly, and has a fantastic sound that turn heads a block away. It rides and handles beautifully, and the frame design allows riders from small to tall a comfy ride. Jon personally cruised this thing all over to break it in and shake it down before going over it one more time and doing a service and safety check prior to this sale. It doesn’t need anything at this time but a worthy new owner. I myself have ridden it about 3 miles, and think it is a fantastic running, riding, and handling machine that speaks volumes about the level of care and craftsmanship that went into it.
